Dear Saints,

Praise the Lord for the 2022 Northeast Summer School of Truth beginning on Monday,  August 1, 2022 at Camp Penuel (KPCC). To help prepare for our time together, please carefully read through the important information below:

Arrival:

• Check-in begins at 2PM in the lobby of Building A. Please aim to arrive by 3PM to have time to settle in. 

• Schedule- The first session will begin on Monday, August 1 @ 3:30 PM. We hope to see you for the first session! 

• Late night arrival- if you plan to arrive past 10pm, please text 646.285.4832 with your arrival time. 

Health Check:

• At this time, COVID-19 vaccination is not required to attend the 2022 Northeast Summer School of Truth. However, we require that every participant test negative for COVID-19 within 24 hours of arrival. At-home rapid tests will be accepted. 

  • Please inform your local serving ones of your testing result prior to arrival.

  • If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know at northeastsst@gmail.com

• Health guidelines are available on our website. 

• If you feel unwell or exhibit any symptoms of illness, please do not travel to the camp.

What to Bring: please note that bedding (pillow, sheets, comforter) will be provided by the camp for full-time participants. (Part-time participants should bring their own linens/sleeping bags).

• Instruments (guitar, ukulele)

• Bible (physical copy with the Old Testament and New Testament)

• Hymnal (physical copy)

• Pen/Pencil

• Notebook (optional)

• Towel and personal toiletries, including shampoo, toothbrush, and toothpaste

• Reusable water bottle with your name (it will be quite warm & we need stay hydrated)

• Appropriate clothing: The local weather forecast predicts temperatures in the high 80sF during the day. 

  • Please see the SST guidelines for meeting and recreation attire. 

• Sunscreen and bug spray – the camp property has several wooded areas, we recommend a bug spray with tick protection.

• Sports equipment: Baseball equipment, basketballs, ultimate frisbees, soccer balls, etc are all welcome for recreation time. Please make sure your items are clearly labeled with your name.

• *Personal electronic entertainment devices will not be used during the week and can be left at home. 

Laundry

Laundry will only be available to serving saints who will be attending both the HS and MS sessions of the Summer School of Truth. In case of an emergency, we can take care of any laundry needs.

T-shirts

The 2022 Northeast Summer School of Truth T-shirt is $10 each. You can pay on-site or through your locality.

Recreation- Liability Release Waiver for new activities

This year, there will be new recreation activities available during the Northeast Summer School of Truth that require an additional liability release waiver to participate. Please print the form attached and bring a SIGNED copy with you to the camp, if you wish to participate. The form will also be available on our website to download. We will not accept electronic copies of this waiver. Please speak with your local serving ones if you need help with printing or signing the form. 

These special activities are:

• Rope Climbing/Rappelling with certified supervisors

• Paddle Boats

• Hiking Trail Maintenance

• Carving Hiking Trail Signs with supervised use of power tools

Transportation:

Please check with the responsible brothers in your locality or district for transportation arrangements. 

Address:

KPCC’s address is 288 Hickory Bush Road, Kingston, NY 12401. Most GPS applications will take you to an entrance sign that reads Camp Rosendale KPCC. 

• Turn at the camp sign onto Hickory Bush Road and drive straight for about 1.3 miles (around 4 minutes). 

• You will see a large rock cliff on your left. Keep driving straight until you come to a parking lot at the end of the road. Park in the lot and go into the adjacent building (Building A) for registration.
